This week’s veto competition had the potential to be one of the more consequential competitions of the summer, but that was quickly proved wrong once the players were chosen.
Mark and Paul were chosen to play alongside Alex, Elena, Jason, and Matt. This leaves Cody completely vulnerable to a backdoor without anyway to fight for his safety. Every single person who was chosen to play in today’s competition is in on the plan to get Cody out and would use it to ensure that he goes up, taking the suspense out of this week’s results.
This week’s veto competition will likely end up being one of the most consequential of the summer, as it has the potential to completely shake up the game depending on who wins.
Josh nominated Elena and Mark alongside Jessica, who lost the temptation competition and became the third nominee. Alex was selected to play and so was Cody, but Christmas used her Ring of Replacement to take his spot. This means that it has the appearance of being 5 vs 1, but Josh has something up his sleeve if he were able to pull out the win.
It’s been an interesting week so far with a blindside at the nominations and several fights that followed, but everything looks like today’s veto competition will be for naught.
Since Paul nominated Cody and Jessica for eviction this week, it means that Jessica’s temptation will be getting used no matter what, as it’s impossible for both of them to come off the block now. While Cody and Jessica know this, Paul and the majority of the house don’t, so they have been continuing this week and studying for the veto as if they’re going to take Cody out.
The outcome of today’s veto competition will be solely based around either nominee winning, as they’re the only two that could really shake up the plans for this week.
Jessica nominated Josh and Ramses. Christmas, Cody, and Jason were selected to play in the veto alongside them. Jessica and Cody’s target is Josh, so they’re hoping for anyone but Josh to win. However, nearly everyone else other than Mark and Elena are planning on keeping Josh in the house and sending Ramses out, behind the backs of Cody, Jessica, Elena, and Mark. Which means that either nominee winning could seriously throw a wrench in this week’s plans.
The POV competition is always scheduled for Saturday afternoon, the day after nominations, but it was abruptly moved to being played Friday night, just hours after nominations were made.
Alex nominated Dominique and Jessica. Christmas, Jason, and Kevin were chosen to play in the veto competition alongside them. This week’s veto competition caught all the houseguests by surprise, leaving some thinking that there is going to be a special Sunday eviction. We don’t know exactly why it was moved up, but it’s possible that production wanted to get it out of the way so that they can prepare for the Battle Back competitions that could possibly take course over a couple days.
