We thought going into this week that it would be a quiet and straight forward week, but things were shaken up after the temptation competition and a public fight in front of the house.
Alex’s original plan was to nominate Mark and Elena alongside each other, but that plan was scrapped after Mark secured his safety for the third week in a row by winning the temptation competition and Matt went up as the third nominee, who was also floated as potential nominee next to Elena. That gave Alex and her allies just a couple hours to find someone else to nominate.
The plan going into this week’s nominations were pretty straight forward, though a conversation beforehand gave us some insight as to what could happen if one of the nominees take themselves down.
Since Josh won HOH, it was fairly clear from the beginning that his targets were going to be Cody and Jessica, but that was all thrown out the window when Cody won the temptation competition and Jessica lost it, making her the third nominee, forcing Josh to put up two of his own instead.
This week’s nominations are sure to shake things up in the house, despite the fact that we know what is going to be happening during Thursday’s live show.
Just after Paul won HOH, Jessica revealed to the house that she received the final temptation from America the week before and that her and Cody are safe for a few weeks. Because Jessica said that it kept both her and Cody safe, several people, including Paul, didn’t believe her. Paul was immediately settled on flushing out whatever Jessica’s actual temptation was.
Typically going into nominations we have an idea as to who is going up, but since the feeds were down, we didn’t even know who the HOH was, let alone who they were going to nominate.
With Jessica ending up winning HOH this week after Cody just returned to the house, it was time to see if she was going to stick with the house plan or make a move right off the bat by putting up two big targets up outright.
It’s a new week in the Big Brother house and the first week of the summer that the initial nominees aren’t people who the whole house has come to a consensus on.
The consensus plan going into this week was for Jessica and Ramses to be nominated, but once two people didn’t vote how they should have during the eviction and Alex won HOH, that changed. The two rogue votes gave Alex perfect cover to go against the original plan and to convince several people within the majority alliance to go with having one of their own put up.
