This is the first week in my memory where we don’t know exactly what’s going to happen going into a veto meeting. Usually the HOH discusses it with his alliance or confides to the cameras while alone, but Cody has, for the most part, kept his cards very close to his chest.
While we don’t know for sure, we can use logical deductions based on what deals have been made in the last 48 hours to give us some sort of idea. Cody has a 9 person alliance with Jessica, Elena, Mark, Matt, Raven, Dominique, Paul, and Christmas, but Cody seems to have different plans than just sticking with that early group.
Cody is closest with Jessica, Matt, Raven, Mark, Elena and Dominique. That leaves Christmas, Kevin, Paul, Jason, Jillian, and Ramses left to possibly be nominated. However, in the last 24 hours, Cody has made deals with Jillian and Ramses, ensuring his safety and the three other couples in exchange for not targeting them this week.
While that seems to leave just Christmas, Kevin, Paul, and Jason as potential nominees, Cody has made it clear to Jessica and his other closest allies that he is planning on making a deal with Jason just before the veto ceremony. That means leaves Christmas, Kevin, and Paul.
Cody hasn’t even as much mentioned Kevin’s name anywhere, while he has brought up the idea of backdooring Paul whenever given the chance. The night before the veto ceremony, Cody finally opened up a little bit, telling Jessica that all the fear and paranoia sown into their group is caused by Paul or Christmas. This does look like the perfect opportunity to finally get Paul in Cody’s eyes, but little does he know that Paul actually has safety for three weeks. If Cody does in fact try to nominate Paul, that means that he’ll have nominated a third of the entire house in this one week alone, simultaneously going back on an alliance right before not being able to compete in the next HOH.
If all this is true, it’s likely that Christmas could end up being the replacement nominee that is going to be on the block next to Jillian on Thursday.
