We’re down to the final five now, which means that game talk is going to start to slow down now, but the game talk that is discussed will be all the more interesting now that close allies will begin to consider turning on each other if they want a shot at winning the game, which is exactly what we saw with Josh earlier today.
11:10 AM BBT: Josh told Paul that he thinks he’ll just be straightforward with Alex by pulling her aside and telling her that he’s sorry, but that she’s going up. Paul said that Josh is technically not allowed to tell Alex that she’s going up beforehand, so he should just talk to Alex afterwards.
1:05 PM BBT: Josh told the viewers at home that he needs to have a conversation with Alex and tell her that she’s going up this week. He said that he’d want to send Kevin out this week, but said that he knows he could beat Kevin if he were to make it to the final two with him. Josh explained that he’s not only thinking about his own game, he’s thinking about Christmas’ and how he might end up hurting her chances of making it to the end.
Josh then floated the idea of making a crazy move this week, stating that he doesn’t know what would happen if it were Christmas and him against Alex and Kevin, stating Alex and Kevin would likely take each other out, but said that if he were to take a wild shot like that, Christmas would likely turn against him. Josh said that he loves Paul, but said that he has to separate his personal feelings from game. Josh added that he knows he can’t beat Paul in the end because Paul has played the best game since Derrick from Big Brother 16. Josh then said that he knows the only way he could win the game at this point is to take a shot at Paul. Josh said that it comes down to whether he takes a shot not or at final three.
2:35 PM BBT: Kevin asked Paul what is going to happen at nominations. Paul said that Josh is for sure going to be putting up Alex, then the other nominee will come down to either Christmas or Kevin. Kevin said that if Alex goes, it’ll only be them two and Christmas in the next HOH. Paul asked who should win, to which Kevin said it’s his turn. Kevin said that he’d put up Christmas and Josh, then they’d send home Josh.
2:50 PM BBT: Paul told the viewers at home that he threw the double eviction veto the night before because he didn’t want to get any blood on his hands. Paul said that he made sure that everyone through the second HOH to Josh so that he could put up Alex and Kevin. Josh said that it would be best case scenario if Alex ends up going this week. Paul said that all he has to do at this point is beat Kevin in the next HOH because he knows that Josh isn’t going to put him up.
4:10 PM BBT: Josh told Christmas and Paul that he’s going to let Alex know that he feels alone, he can’t compete at final four and he thinks that she’s too strong. Paul asked why Josh can’t talk to Alex after the ceremony, but Josh said that it’s because he already blindsided Alex with the Jason decision.
Paul told Josh that Kevin is going to start gunning for the HOH, so he should psych Kevin out before and during each competition. Paul said that he needs Josh to rile Kevin up. Christmas said for Josh to call Kevin out during his nomination speech. Paul said that Kevin winning veto would actually be the best case scenario for them. Paul then said to Christmas that if she doesn’t care about being a pawn, she could go up and nobody would vote to evict her because there is no way that Kevin wouldn’t evict Alex.
5:40 PM BBT: Josh nominated Alex and Kevin for eviction
5:40 PM BBT: Alex is crying to Josh, telling him that while he might think he’s alone, the one last person that she trusted just stabbed her in the back by putting her on the block. Alex said that she’ll just play in the veto and see what happens, but said that right now she doesn’t want to talk.
5:40 PM BBT: Paul told Christmas that she should try to break up Alex and Josh’s conversation because Alex is crying and she’s really trying to work that card.
5:45 PM BBT: When Josh left the room, Alex wiped away the tears and told the viewers at home that she was faking it.
5:45 PM BBT: Josh began sobbing to Christmas and Josh, telling them how bad he feels for turning on Alex when she is saying that she trusts him. Paul told Josh that Alex is a game player and that he’s being duped because Alex knows that Josh has a soft heart. Josh said that he’s worried about how bad he hurt Alex and Jason since he really liked those two. Josh then said that he can’t wait until Kevin leaves. Christmas and Paul both said that isn’t going to happen this week.
Christmas told Josh that Alex is trying to get in his head so that he’s weakened for tomorrow’s POV competition, then she can win, then stay another week to retaliate, which would send one of the three of them home.
6:00 PM BBT: Josh asked Christmas who she was going to take to the final two. Christmas said that she doesn’t want to have to make that decision and said that she hasn’t made up her mind yet. Josh said that he’s going to be taking her. Christmas said that it would be better for Josh’s game to take Paul, but Josh said that it doesn’t matter, that he’s taking Christmas. Christmas wouldn’t commit to taking Josh, but kept telling Josh that it is in his best interest to take Paul over her.
6:00 PM BBT: Alex asked Paul if she ever told him that she can cry on command. Alex then went on to say that she thinks that Josh is going to win the veto to play her off, but Alex said that she’s worried that the plan might be to backdoor Paul if that was the case.
6:05 PM BBT: Paul told Josh that Alex said that she can cry on command and that crying to him was her last ditch effort to try to make Josh feel bad for putting her up. Paul turned to Christmas, telling her that Alex also said that they had messed up by leaving Christmas in the game for so long since now she wants to win.
6:45 PM BBT: Alex told Paul that he needs to win the veto so that the both of them can be saved, stating that even if she were to win the veto, he’d just be put up and taken out. Alex said that she’d be willing to stay on the block if she trusted Christmas, but said that she no longer does at this point.
6:55 PM BBT: Paul told Josh that he needs to get out of his funk because they’re going to make it to the end of the game. Paul said that they need to get to the end with Christmas since they’re going to be physically demanding competitions. Paul explained that it’ll come down to the two of them on a scale answering questions, which gives them both a 50% chance of being the one who picks their final two buddy. Josh said that Christmas has been giving off the vibe that she’d be fine with leaving as long as she made final three. Paul said that he was picking up that vibe too. Paul told Josh that if Kevin wins veto, Josh needs to put Christmas up because they know that Kevin wouldn’t vote against Christmas.
7:35 PM BBT: Josh told the viewers at home that he’s thinking about whether he should flip the house this week by getting Paul out, stating that he knows he can beat both Alex and Kevin if they were to make it to the end together. Josh said that when he asked Christmas if she would take him to the end, she said she doesn’t know. Josh added that Paul is saying that he’ll take Josh, but Josh said that he knows that Paul would beat him. Josh said that Christmas basically told him to his face earlier today that she wasn’t going to take him to the final two.
Josh said that his two options are sticking next to Paul or flip the house by telling Alex everything, use the veto on Alex, and backdoor Paul. Josh said that the only people he can see himself beating is Alex, Christmas, and Kevin. He said that both Alex and Kevin would take him over the other. Josh said that the one problem in his plan is that if he were to pull Alex off with the veto, she wouldn’t vote to evict Paul. Josh said that neither Alex or Christmas would vote to evict Paul, so he’d be doing nothing but raising alarms by putting Paul up.
8:50 PM BBT: Alex told Paul that if she stays on the block, she believes that Christmas will vote her out. Paul agreed, stating that they’d be stupid to assume that Christmas and Josh wouldn’t take a shot at either of them. Alex said that if Josh says he wants to target Paul, she’ll say that is the only person who has had her back. Alex said that Josh is playing the best game out of Christmas, Josh, and Kevin, so she said that she’d vote for Josh to win. Alex told Paul that she’ll try to convince Josh to put up Christmas. Paul said that she should.
9:05 PM BBT: Alex asked Josh when the plan to get Jason out was enacted. Josh said that it wasn’t a plan and he wasn’t going to just be voting out Jason the entire time. Josh explained that Jason was a beast and he felt like he could beat Kevin in a competition. Josh added that Jason said to his face that he’d only be willing to take Josh to final five. Josh told Alex that there is a lot he wants to tell you, but he can’t right now and that they’ll just have to wait until after the veto.
Alex told Josh that she’ll give him a fair shake, but said that she doesn’t know if she’s going to want to be friends with him after this. Alex said that what he did isn’t something that friends do, stating that she didn’t put him up during the double eviction and he voted out Jason. Alex said that this is the third time that Josh has turned on her, stating the Jillian vote, Jason, and now putting her up.
9:20 PM BBT: Christmas and Paul began asking Josh why Alex was upstairs and what she said to him. Josh said that he asked her to come upstairs and said that Alex was just upset. Paul said that Alex is being fake. Josh said that he was right when he said that all the heat was going to be on him. Christmas said that if he’s going to have a “woe is me” moment, she’s not going to listen. Christmas added that Josh needs to snap out of it because he’s either going to be their teammate or he’s going to let Alex ruin his game.
Paul told Christmas and Josh that Alex said that she was going to pitch Christmas’ name to him, then asked if that is what Alex did. Josh confirmed. Christmas asked if Josh wasn’t going to tell her this, but Josh said that he had just forgot. Josh added that Alex said she kept Christmas around because she trusted her, not because she thought Christmas was going to be easy to beat. Christmas told Josh that she needs him to snap out of the funk he’s in unless he’s wanting her or Paul to go home this week.
Paul told Josh that Alex told him the she was going to make Josh feel bad by crying, which he said pisses him off because it’s malicious to use someone’s feelings to hurt them. Paul added that both people on the block want him out, so Josh should be happy.
11:50 PM BBT: Alex told Paul that Josh basically told her that he wants her out because she’s too strong. Alex added that Josh said that he doesn’t think he could beat the either of them. Paul asked who she thinks is in Josh’s ear, to which Alex said Christmas. Alex said that if she leaves before Paul, she’s going to make it clear to jury that Christmas hasn’t done anything. Paul said that Josh hasn’t either, stating that he got everything thrown to him.
1:00 AM BBT: Paul told Josh that Alex said that he’s going to take out her or Paul because they’re too strong and he couldn’t beat them. Josh said that wasn’t true. Paul said that it’s fine, that he can use that as an excuse to not use the veto if he wins it.
