Big Brother 19: Day 68 Recap

We’re now less than 24 hours until the veto ceremony, which means that today will be the last ditch effort for Paul’s mini-group to convince Jason to use the veto so that they can target Kevin. We’ll also be sure to get plenty of game talk about the plan for next week and the potential for some more inter-alliance drama between Alex and Jason.

11:20 AM BBT: Kevin asked Jason what everyone was up in his room talking about last night, but Jason said that there wasn’t anybody up in his room. Jason told Kevin about a small fight with Alex, explaining that he told Alex that he didn’t want to hear anything about how she threw the last competition to him, but then Alex said that he’d be stupid to think that she didn’t throw it. Kevin told Jason that he can’t be made a fool of and needs to stand his ground.

11:35 AM BBT: Paul told Josh that Alex and Jason are wanting a final five with them and Christmas, so he said that they need to sell them on the idea that they’re wanting that as much as Alex and Jason are, but without alerting Raven. Josh asked Paul if he thinks will get ugly if they sell Alex and Jason on that idea, then they put those two up. Paul said yeah, but that one of Alex and Jason would be gone, so it doesn’t matter. Paul added that once Alex and Jason are on the block, Kevin will start campaigning against Alex, so if they were to keep Alex, she would target Kevin.

11:55 AM BBT: Raven told Paul that Jason promised to use the veto on her after putting her up, so she said that America is going to get a show if Jason goes back on his word.

12:00 PM BBT: Paul asked Alex if Jason isn’t using the veto. Alex said Jason isn’t. Paul asked if Jason is okay with them pretending like they didn’t know. Alex said yes, stating that they can all act surprised when Jason announces that he isn’t using the veto. Paul told Alex that they should throw the next HOH to Christmas or Josh so that they and Jason can all compete the following week. Alex agreed.

1:05 PM BBT: Kevin and Matt are made have-nots for dropping out of the HOH competition first.

1:25 PM BBT: Kevin asked Paul if there was any new developments. Paul said that not that he’s aware of. Kevin explained to Paul that he walked with Kevin this morning and he’s going to keep the nominations the same. Kevin added that he just can’t believe that his name is getting thrown around. Paul said that Raven has never thrown his name under the bus to him.

1:30 PM BBT: Paul asked Alex how they can keep messing with Kevin, then suggested telling Kevin that they’re getting swindled and everyone is actually after the two of them for being the strongest pair in the house. Alex liked the plan, explaining that nobody does this during their season because everyone else is mean while they just make people paranoid. Josh joined the room, saying that he loves Kevin, but that he’s being driven nuts by him.

Paul said that when the veto isn’t used and Raven gets upset, they should just all blame Kevin for making something up about her. Jason said that he will. Paul explained that Jason can say that Kevin was saying that Matt is after him. Josh said that Raven would go off on Kevin.

3:50 PM BBT: Josh told Raven that he’s going to make sure that Kevin doesn’t get a second chance with Jason. Raven said that she believes that her and Matt are going to be okay. Josh agreed.

3:55 PM BBT: Raven told Matt that Josh said that Jason is going to use the veto on her, adding that Josh said that if Jason weren’t to use it, he’d go ape shit on Jason. Matt said that he likes Josh.

6:00 PM BBT: Raven told Matt that if they’re left on the block, she isn’t going to ask anyone for a vote. Matt agreed, adding that if they do end up getting left on the block, he’ll eat regular food so that he’ll get a penalty vote since he’s a have-not. Raven said that if Jason doesn’t do what he says he would by taking her off the block, America will be getting a show, stating that she’ll lose it on him. Matt said that Jason has done everything he said he would up until this point.

6:25 PM BBT: Josh told Alex and Jason that Kevin was acting one way, then he changed and became bitter. Alex said that Kevin is wanting to be the Derrick of this season, but without winning anything and wants to be carried to the final two.

6:30 PM BBT: Paul told Christmas that Alex seems to be distancing herself from Jason now. Christmas said that she doesn’t know if it’s real, citing how convenient the timing is. Paul said that he thinks it’s real because Alex knows that if Jason doesn’t use the veto, he’s screwed. Christmas said that she thinks that Alex would keep her over Raven, despite Raven thinking that she has a good relationship with Alex. Paul said that if Alex does take Jason to the final two, she’ll lose because he wouldn’t vote for her. Christmas asked why, to which Paul explained that Jason won more competitions, hasn’t pissed anyone off, and he’s having a baby. Paul contrasted that to Alex, who he said she has crapped on Mark, Cody, Elena, and Kevin.

6:45 PM BBT: Josh told Jason that he has always looked at Kevin as an untouchable if he were to ever get HOH since Kevin gave him no choice with the way he has been playing. Jason asked if there was any way they could get Kevin back on their page. Josh said that Matt, Raven, and Kevin have all been playing the same type of safe game.

Jason asked Josh if Kevin is really that big of a deal and why they can’t just send him home next week. Josh said that he doesn’t think that Kevin trusts him. Jason asked why he would want to put Kevin on the block this week instead of the next. Josh said that Kevin’s personality is rubbing people the wrong way. Jason asked why they can’t just tell Kevin to stop being a dick, to which Josh said that he believes that people have tried that already. Josh then brought up the fact that Matt and Raven are two votes in jury while Kevin is one. Jason said that everyone would vote Kevin out if he put him up, but Josh gave Jason his word that he wouldn’t. Jason said that he’s just going to leave the nominations the same. Jason explained that he’s willing to take all the heat from Matt and Raven when it comes to their jury votes.

7:25 PM BBT: Paul told Christmas that if Josh wins HOH and puts up Alex and Jason, he should fake a fight with Josh so that whoever remains in the house from Alex and Jason wouldn’t put up two from their group.

7:35 PM BBT: Alex told Jason that if he leaves the nominations the same, they’re going to think about sending Raven home instead since Matt is already checked out. Jason said that he doesn’t care. Alex said that Raven will be the harder one to get out later on. Jason said that they can just flip a coin on who goes. Alex said they can’t get a coin, so they will flip a beer cap to decide who goes home.

7:50 PM BBT: Alex told Jason and Josh that Kevin is looking like an idiot on national TV trying to pretend to be a gangster, adding that Kevin is fake. Josh said that he disagreed, telling Alex that Kevin’s upbringing is one similar to his. Alex said that if Kevin actually is a rat like this, it’s easy to track back since he’s on TV and his whole family would be dead. Jason brought up the chance that Kevin really does have seven kids, but that he got a divorce and is using his family as strategy. Josh said that he doesn’t think it’s that deep and that Kevin actually is obsessed with his family.

8:25 PM BBT: Josh told Christmas about her conversations with Alex and Jason. Christmas brought up Paul’s plan to fake a fight with Josh if Josh were to win the HOH and plan on putting up Alex and Jason. Josh said that would leave Christmas on her own and Paul as the golden boy with his bases covered, so he said that they aren’t going to do that. Christmas agreed, stating that she thinks it’s too dangerous for Josh to take the shot at Alex and Jason now, so she said that it would be ideal if Raven were to win and take that shot. Christmas said that Alex can’t make it to the final five with them.

9:40 PM BBT: Alex told Paul that she was thinking that they should send Raven out since Matt is checked out. Alex explained that Raven is the one who starts the trouble with Matt. Paul told Alex that he’s down for whatever she wants as long as they get out Kevin the next week.

10:40 PM BBT: Paul told Jason and Josh that when he was speaking with Kevin earlier, he referred to Alex and Jason has his two rivals. Paul added that he believes that Kevin has been making a mockery of them in the DR by clowning on them all season. Jason agreed.

10:50 PM BBT: Christmas told Paul that she believes it’s smarter for them to take a shot at Matt because she would be willing to take a shot at Jason. Paul said that Matt would be too. Christmas tried to say that it’s smart for them to keep Raven around until the final five, but Paul said that Raven is the better competitor of the two.

11:00 PM BBT: Paul told Raven that he doesn’t think that anything weird is going on or that Jason would do something to piss off the entire house. Raven said that she doesn’t think Jason would do that either. Paul said that the worst case scenario would lead to everyone being after him. Paul said that his vote will be to save her if she isn’t pulled off. Raven said that Matt already plans on taking penalty votes by eating normal food since he’s a have-not.

11:25 PM BBT: Paul told Jason that he could tell Matt and Raven that the reason he didn’t use the veto is because of Kevin getting in his ear and saying that Matt has been talking about him behind Jason’s back. Jason said that he was thinking that they could flip a bottle cap to determine which they send out. Paul said that they can find a smarter way to make that decision, then said that it would be smarter to get Matt out before Raven because Alex is closer to Raven and would be able to reel her in with Matt gone.

12:10 AM BBT: Christmas told Alex and Jason that she thinks they should vote out Matt because he will understand while if they were to target Raven, they’d both be pissed for the rest of the week. Jason said that they’re going to vote out Matt.

12:45 AM BBT: Raven suggested to Christmas that they should get Josh to blow up on Kevin tonight to ensure that Jason puts him up as the replacement nominee. Christmas didn’t shut the idea down, which then led Raven to telling Matt that Christmas said that plan was a go and that Josh is about to blow up on Kevin.

12:50 AM BBT: When Christmas brought the plan to blow up on Kevin to Josh, Josh said that he’s not going to do that and questioned why he has to be the one to do everything. Christmas said that she’s not suggesting that he should and said that Matt and Raven don’t do it themselves because they don’t have the balls.
