Big Brother 19: Day 66 Recap

It’s nomination day in the Big Brother house, which could bring some excitement since Jason plans to nominate Raven, the one person that Matt doesn’t want to go up. We’ll also surly have more speculation about the two rogue votes and people reassuring Matt and Raven that Kevin is gone this week, but in reality, the house is plotting their demise.

10:10 AM BBT: Paul told the viewers at home that he threw the latest HOH because he wanted to make sure that Alex and Jason looked like the most powerful duo in the house. Paul explained that in everyone else’s eyes, Alex and Jason now look unstopped and will need him to help finally take down that power duo.

10:15 AM BBT: Raven asked Paul if he has any idea who is going up today, but Paul said no, stating that it’s between him, her, and Matt. Raven said that if Jason doesn’t keep his word about targeting Kevin, he’ll have a whole house against him when he won’t be able to compete next week. Raven said that if Jason is wanting to start World War 3 by going after them, she’s ready for it, but said that she’s pretty sure that Alex wants Kevin gone. Paul agreed, but said that they could be getting lied to, though he said that he isn’t picking up on that if they are.

10:25 AM BBT: Jason told Kevin that he was going to give Mark a vote before his speech because he is tired of how the vote is always so one-sided. Kevin said that they should have told him so that he could have made the vote a tie. Kevin asked Jason who he thinks that Matt and Raven would have nominated. Jason said that he thinks it would have been him and Alex.

10:55 AM BBT: Raven asked Paul if he thinks that Jason would use the veto if he won it. Paul said yes. Paul explained that he’s not picking up on anything weird going on. Matt said that he just wants to make sure that Raven doesn’t go up, then offered himself to go up instead. Paul said that the only reason he could see Raven going up is to appease Kevin and to keep the backdoor in play. Paul asked Matt if they want the veto used on Raven if she were to go up. Matt said yes.

11:25 AM BBT: Christmas told Josh that Matt and Raven have to go, adding that unfortunately Matt has to go first, who she views as the cooler one of the two. Christmas said that Raven will gravitate towards Kevin once Matt is gone, but said that the upside is that she won’t be so loud. Josh said that he needs to start working an angle with both Jason and Kevin. Christmas agreed.

11:50 AM BBT: Kevin told Christmas that he has noticed that she has gotten closer with Josh. Christmas said that Josh just bounces all over the place and sometimes doesn’t think ahead by opening his mouth when he shouldn’t.

1:05 PM BBT: Matt tells Raven that he’s inclined to just let Kevin annoy Jason to death. Matt added that he believes that they should also just let Paul work since that is their best bet. Raven agreed, saying that she doesn’t want them to come off as paranoid.

1:10 PM BBT: Josh told Christmas that Alex is a huge threat that is good at lying. Christmas agreed, saying that Alex didn’t come to pussyfoot around.

1:15 PM BBT: Matt told Christmas that for Jason, Kevin isn’t a threat to him. Christmas said that they’re going to be getting into the mental competitions soon where Kevin would be a threat. Christmas added that Jason has convinced himself to do even more bizarre things in the past.

Matt told Christmas that it’s clear to him that Alex and Jason didn’t vote the same way yesterday, bringing up the fact that Alex had to ask Jason for safety and a jury vote. Christmas said that Jason has had Alex’s back, but also had the bros alliance with Mark. Matt said that he doesn’t think that Alex and Jason strategize like they do since they all would have jumped off instantly when the person they trust the most said they wanted HOH.

1:30 PM BBT: Alex told Jason and Paul that she prayed to God last night and she told her that she was the second vote to evict Mark.

1:35 PM BBT: Kevin asked Paul if they’re going to take a shot at Alex and Jason once they get down to final six. Paul said that they’d have to, but said that they shouldn’t even talk about that yet because it’s still too early.

1:40 PM BBT: Christmas told Kevin that the house is going to be so much more peaceful with Matt and Raven out, stating that Jason is excited to finally get Matt out this week.

2:45 PM BBT: Raven asked Josh if he spoke to Jason. Josh said yes, but said that Jason didn’t tell him who his nominations were going to be, just that he wants Kevin out. Raven asked Josh if he thinks that Jason is going to put one of them up. Josh said that he thinks he’ll be going up.

3:00 PM BBT: Paul told Jason that he should just surprise Matt and Raven at the nominations by putting them up, then explain after that the goal is to get Kevin out. Paul added that he can tell Matt and Raven that if one of them win veto, they will pull Raven off since that is what Matt will want. Paul said that they’d talk to Kevin on Monday before the veto ceremony about putting him up as a pawn to get Matt out.

3:05 PM BBT: Paul told Matt and Raven that he believes that they’re golden this week. Matt said that he thinks they are too, but said that they just need to win the veto.

3:30 PM BBT: Paul told Jason and Raven that the more he sits back and watches, the more he realizes that Kevin hasn’t done anything for anyone. Jason said that Kevin said his social game is the best in the house. Jason asked if they could imagine how Kevin would react to going up. Raven said that he’d go inside. Paul agreed, stating that if they leave him off the block, he wouldn’t have any incentive to try to win the veto.

3:35 PM BBT: Paul asked Jason if they’re taking a shot at Matt or Raven this week. Jason said that it doesn’t matter, but said that it strategically makes more sense to take Matt out. Paul agreed, saying that he believes that even if Matt were to win the veto, he’d probably use it on Raven.

3:55 PM BBT: Paul told Matt and Raven that he doesn’t care if he’s put up, but said that neither of them can freak out or get paranoid because the plan for the week might get questioned.

4:10 PM BBT: Matt asked Raven if Jason could put Alex up to ensure a strong competitor in the veto competition. Raven said that she doesn’t think that is going to happen because it would let Kevin know that he’s the target.

6:30 PM BBT: Jason nominated Matt and Raven

6:40 PM BBT: Raven told Paul that Jason hugged her and said that he’ll pull her off with the veto if he gets it. Paul said that’s good and that he doesn’t think that anything weird is going on. Raven said that if she gets houseguest’s choice when picking veto players, she’ll choose Paul.

6:45 PM BBT: Raven told Matt about Jason saying that he wants to pull her off with the veto.

6:45 PM BBT: Paul told Josh that Matt and Raven are stupid for feeling so safe. Josh asked what they should do if they get picked to play in the veto competition. Paul said that they should gun for it and take Raven off the with intention of putting up Kevin as a pawn.

7:05 PM BBT: Matt asked Raven if she thinks that Alex or Jason would use the veto on them. Raven said that if they don’t, one of them would be going home. Matt said that if that does happen, at least they know they have the votes to save Raven. Raven said that Jason would be stupid to not backdoor Kevin after making the speech he did since the entire house would know that he’s a liar. Raven added that Jason realizes that there would be hell to pay if Matt went home and she won HOH. Matt told Raven that he’ll use the veto on her if he wins it. When Raven protested, Matt said that he’s not Cody or Mark, so he’s not going to throw his girl under the bus.

8:20 PM BBT: Josh, Kevin, and Paul were picked to play in the veto competition alongside Jason, Matt, and Raven.

8:25 PM BBT: Paul told Matt and Raven that they have nothing to worry about because Kevin thinks that he’s fine, so he doesn’t have any reason to want to win it.

8:25 PM BBT: Christmas told Josh to gun for the veto so that he can keep the nominations the same. Josh said that he wouldn’t use it, then voiced his worries about possibly being a secret backdoor target. Christmas said that Alex and Jason wouldn’t have the votes if they tried something like that.

8:30 PM BBT: Paul told Alex, Jason, and Josh that they should all throw the veto competition to Kevin so that Matt and Raven can’t blame them for one of them being sent home. Paul said that there is no way that Kevin would use it if he were to win it. Alex said that Matt would tell them to vote him out.

8:50 PM BBT: Paul told Matt and Raven that Kevin is lounging around and not caring, so he said that Kevin won’t be trying to win. Matt said that if Paul does win the veto, he wants it to be used on Raven instead of him.

8:55 PM BBT: Josh told Paul about his worries about being a backdoor target. Paul said that Alex and Jason wouldn’t have the votes to get him out, then questioned why Jason would even want to keep a pair in the house just so that they could send him or Josh home. Paul asked Josh who he thinks should go home first between Alex and Jason. Josh said Jason. Paul asked Josh if he’d be willing to put up Alex and Jason outright. Josh said that he would.

9:20 PM BBT: Alex told Josh that she thinks that either him or Kevin should win the veto. Josh said that if he wins it, he’s not going to use it.

9:45 PM BBT: Paul told Jason that if they can throw it to Josh, they should since Josh said that he wouldn’t use the veto. Jason said that he wants to win the veto, take Raven off, and put Kevin up. Paul said that they shouldn’t ruffle any feathers if they don’t have to.

Jason told Paul that Christmas and Josh would both love to be the one who took out Kevin or Raven. Jason said that Kevin would likely put up Alex and Raven, which means that they’d just need to win the veto and take Alex off.

10:25 PM BBT: Paul brought up the chance that next week is a double eviction. Alex said that they should take out Kevin and Raven. Paul asked who they’d put up if a replacement nominee was needed. Alex said Christmas. Paul told Alex and Jason that they should think about pumping the breaks because they don’t want to stand out as targets. Paul asked Alex if she was the other vote for Mark. Alex said yes, but by accident. Paul said that they should keep blaming Kevin and Raven anyway.

10:40 PM BBT: Jason told Alex that he doesn’t want her getting cocky. When Alex said that she wasn’t, Jason said that she was and cited her bossing people around as an example. Jason explained that he was watching people’s eyes as she was running her mouth. Alex asked who was rolling their eyes at her. Jason said everyone, then listed off Matt, Raven, Kevin, and Christmas. Alex told Jason that once Matt and Raven are both gone, they should let Josh or Kevin win that following HOH.

  • Blane

I loathe Paul. Boring, bully Paul

    • Grandma

I sooooo agree! Won’t he be shocked by his being seen as the head bully, rather than a Big Brother servant and font of wisdom. Loathsome is perhaps too kind.

      • Joann Reeves

        I totally agree 100%

    • Grandma

How can they NOT backdoor Paul? Are all the sheep really that stupid? Cody is the only one who had any inkling of what was happening. Just think how different this season would be if Cody had gotten out Paul way back when …..

  • Kresha

They should keep Raven guarantee no one will vote for her to win the 500k
