Big Brother 19: Day 60 Recap

It’s veto competition day, which means that we have some serious potential for drama depending on who ends up winning. If Mark does end up winning, Paul’s majority alliance will have no choice but to start cannibalizing themselves. If that doesn’t happen, it’ll be a pretty slow week as we wait for Thursday’s live show.

1:00 PM BBT: Mark, Paul, and Raven were picked to play in veto alongside Christmas, Jason, and Matt.

1:00 PM BBT: Jason questioned Alex and Paul about it being sketchy that Christmas didn’t use houseguest choice on Alex. Paul said that Raven probably just cornered Christmas and got her to promise her that she’d choose Raven. Alex agreed with Paul, telling Jason that there isn’t anything to worry about and that she isn’t going to let him be taken out this week. Paul said that he’ll make sure that Mark doesn’t win the veto.

1:15 PM BBT: Christmas told Alex, Jason, Matt, Paul, and Raven that Kevin was more okay with Jessica leaving than he was Cody leaving. Paul said that is because Cody could do something for Kevin’s game while Jessica couldn’t. Alex said that Kevin has been playing up the old man role. Christmas said that she called him out on that earlier.

1:20 PM BBT: Alex told Christmas and Paul that if Mark ends up staying this week and wins the next HOH, one of the three of them are going to get backdoored. Alex added that Mark has been talking to Kevin, which Alex said means that he’s working with Kevin. Alex then brought up Derrick joining them the other day and how Derrick didn’t look Kevin in the eyes, which she said is because they know each other and are both undercover cops. Paul added to the theory, saying that Kevin knows so much about the criminal life because he works around it as a cop.

1:30 PM BBT: Jason told Alex that he thinks it’s weird that Christmas picked Raven to play, which he said could mean that Kevin is telling her all their secrets. Alex said that Raven just asked Christmas to pick her before it happened. Alex told Jason that they just need to get the votes for him to stay. Jason said that it can’t be common knowledge that they have a final three with Paul, stating that people are already starting to speculate and will try taking them out soon.

1:30 PM BBT: Christmas told Paul that if they end up having to get Jason out, Alex and Kevin are going to kill each other. Paul said that Alex hates Kevin and Kevin hates Alex. Christmas said that it’s still the best case scenario for them if Mark goes this week. Paul brought up Kevin wanting to keep the nominations the same to send Matt out, which Paul questioned why Kevin wants to save Mark so much. Paul said that when they do go after Jason, they’ll have to put him up next to Kevin to keep Alex calm.

2:30 PM BBT: Christmas made Josh and Mark have-nots.

2:50 PM BBT: Josh told Matt and Raven that Kevin has been asking if they’re going to target Matt if Mark were to win the veto. Josh said that Kevin is just fishing because he’s nervous about everyone being onto his game.

2:55 PM BBT: Raven told Matt that based on what Josh said, they wouldn’t have Kevin’s vote. Matt said that it will likely be a 3-3 vote if the nominations were to stay the same and Christmas would have to break the tie. Matt said that they just have to win the veto.

3:00 PM BBT: Jason told Kevin that he feels like something fishy is going home. Kevin said that Jason has his, Paul’s, and Josh’s vote, which would leave Christmas to break the tie.

3:10 PM BBT: Raven told Christmas that Josh told them about Kevin asking if Matt is next after Mark. Christmas said that Kevin is losing his mind and is about an inch away from getting backdoored himself. Christmas said that Matt doesn’t have anything to worry about because at worst it would be a 3-3 vote and she would break the tie. Christmas told Raven that they have to get Mark out because he’s too dangerous and must have Kevin in his pocket. Raven agreed, saying that Mark does have Kevin and said that they need to win the veto.

3:30 PM BBT: Paul told Christmas that their worst case scenario would be Mark winning veto, using it on Jason, which would mean they would have to get out Kevin. Paul said that their first best case scenario would be getting Mark out, with the second best case scenario being getting Jason out if Mark were to win veto.

9:20 PM BBT: Jason won the POV

9:25 PM BBT: Matt told Alex and Christmas that Mark being so cool about everything despite being targeted says a lot about Mark’s character. Christmas agreed, saying that Cody, Dominique, and Jessica all made it easy to get them out, but said that she feels bad for Mark.

9:30 PM BBT: Paul told Matt and Raven that they should get out Jason before Alex because they can rope Alex in and get her to take a shot for them. Paul explained that if Jason is left alone, he’ll work with Kevin only.

9:35 PM BBT: Paul apologized to Christmas for not winning the veto, but said that they can just get Jason out next week. Christmas agreed, saying that Jason has proven he’s a threat with his recent performances in the competitions. Paul told Christmas that now that they have a game plan, they shouldn’t talk about it anymore because they don’t want to make it obvious. When Christmas left the room, Josh joined and told Paul that Jason has to go. Paul said that is already on the agenda.

9:40 PM BBT: Paul told Jason they’re unstoppable now and that going into next week they’ll all be able to compete. Paul said that Kevin is now talking to Matt and Christmas in private, which Paul said is proof that Kevin has started separating from them. Jason said that was dumb of Kevin.

10:20 PM BBT: Josh told Alex that Kevin is giving him the scariest and creepiest stares. Alex told Josh that they’re going to get rid of Kevin, saying that isn’t something Josh needs to worry about. Alex said that they need to win HOH so that they can put Kevin, Matt, and Raven all in check.

10:50 PM BBT: Mark asked Christmas if there is any way that she could see him as an asset that she could work with moving forward instead of just getting him out this week. Christmas said that she’s hesitant because of how rocky their relationship has been in the past. Mark said that if she feels like it’s in her best interest to get him out, he’ll understand.

Christmas told Mark that there was just such a rollercoaster when it came to him and Cody, bringing up the first week when she was nominated. Mark promised her that he had no idea that she was going to go up and said that if he did know of that plan, he never would have turned on Cody. Christmas said that she believes that Mark can see that she isn’t excited about what is happening this week. Mark agreed, but ask her to just think about his proposal. Christmas promised that she would.

12:05 AM BBT: Christmas told Paul that Mark campaigned to her and she just told him that she’ll think about it. Paul shut down any possibility of making a deal with Mark, changing the conversation to next week, saying that Alex is wanting to take a shot at Matt, so they should be good no matter who wins.
