Big Brother 19: Day 59 Recap

The feeds are finally returning tonight after being down for more than 30 hours for what turned out to be nothing more than a clip show, which completely left us in the dark as to who won HOH and all the fallout that usually follows a double eviction. That complaining aside, at least they’re back now.

9:00 PM BBT: The feeds turn, revealing that Christmas won HOH and nominated Jason and Matt.

9:20 PM BBT: Josh told Matt that when it comes to Matt and Raven, Josh has always felt good and said that he trusts the two of them. Josh added that the three of them know they have each other’s back and don’t even really have to talk about it. Matt agreed, saying he feels the same.

9:40 PM BBT: Paul told Christmas that directly following nominations, Kevin pulled him aside and said that the nominations were perfect. Paul added that Jason told him that Kevin said the he wants Jason to stay on the block so that they could vote Matt out. Christmas asked why Kevin is trying to change her agenda. Paul said that something is up.

Christmas said that it makes her nervous that things are so chill, but Paul said that someone will find a way to mess it up. Christmas suggested that it’s going to be Kevin who messes things up, bringing up that Kevin has had it out for Matt the last few weeks. Paul said that it’s because Kevin doesn’t have Matt in his corner.

10:00 PM BBT: Matt told Raven that when he asked what Mark was saying upstairs earlier today, Josh said that Mark was telling Christmas about the deals he had with both Cody and Jason. Matt said that Christmas should have put up Alex instead of Jason. Raven said that it doesn’t matter who was nominated this week, that it’ll only start to matter next week. Raven said that they need to focus on getting Mark out. Matt said that worst case would be he left on the block next to Jason, with Paul and Josh voting to keep Matt, leaving Christmas to break the tie.

Matt told Raven that they need to get Alex out before Jason because she’s the best competitor in the house. Matt said that what they could do is tell Alex and Jason that they’re trying to get Kevin out, which will make one of that duo be okay with going on the block, which Matt said would preferably be Jason. Matt then explained that ideally someone would win the power of veto and they could backdoor Alex.

11:20 PM BBT: Paul told Josh that Kevin is getting on his nerves, citing Kevin’s desire to always be the center of attention. Josh agreed that Kevin is getting annoying, but said that they can’t take him out yet. Paul said that their target is Mark, but Jason is their backup. Josh said that he’s glad Paul is on board with that idea. Paul said that if they were to get Jason out, they know Alex would never work with Kevin. Josh said that Alex would turn up her game if Jason were to go, so they’d have to get her out after, but Paul disagreed. Paul said that Alex would still go after Matt and Kevin.

1:55 AM BBT: Paul told Matt and Raven that the three of them, Christmas, and Josh are going to go to the final five together.

2:00 AM BBT: Christmas and Josh agreed to targeting Mark this week, but said that their next target is going to be Jason. They stated that they have to make sure that the two pairs left in the house, which is Matt and Raven/Alex and Jason, are targeting each other instead of them. After debating it, thee trio agreed to a final five of Christmas, Josh, Kevin, Paul, and Raven. Josh told Christmas that Kevin is the one who actually took the $25,000.
