Big Brother 19: Day 18 Recap

It’s veto day in the Big Brother house, which means that tensions will be running high, but it’ll all come down to who is playing in the veto competition first because if Jessica or Cody isn’t picked, the only hope they’ll have of Cody not going home this week is Ramses winning the veto, which Ramses knows would go against what the house wants.

8:35 AM BBT: Cody, Jessica, Jason, and Matt are selected as have-nots.

8:50 AM BBT: Kevin told Alex that it’s them two, Jason, Cody, Jessica, and Ramses, saying that they need to win HOH and put up Matt and Mark, then win veto and put up Paul to get rid of Matt.

8:55 AM BBT: Christmas told Josh that she doesn’t have a ride or die yet, but said that she wants to help protect him, saying that he bounced back from that first week really well and she’s proud of him.

9:05 AM BBT: Cody told Jason that he believes Jason’s going to be safe this week because Paul will keep Alex up if Cody wins the veto, but if he doesn’t win the veto, Paul will make sure to backdoor him. Cody told him that if he would have been nominated with Jessica and won veto, he was going to use it on her.

9:20 AM BBT: Kevin told Jason that Christmas is the one who put him in the frog costume since she’s the one who despises Cody and Jessica.

10:15 AM BBT: Matt and Elena are selected to play in the veto competition alongside Paul, Alex, Josh, and Ramses

10:15 AM BBT: Paul told Ramses that they’re all going to throw the competition to either Alex or Josh and promised Ramses that he’s going to be safe. Paul explained to him that the only way this could go wrong is if Ramses wins the veto and pisses off the entire house.

10:20 AM BBT: Paul asked Alex if she wants him to throw it to her or if they want to battle it out between them for fun. Alex said that she’ll play in it. Paul told Josh that it’s going to be him battling it out vs Alex for the veto as everyone else will be throwing it.

10:30 AM BBT: Paul told Alex that he’d prefer she wins so that it’s Josh and Cody up against each other on Thursday.

10:35 AM BBT: Josh told Paul that Cody isn’t going to go out as easy as they think. Paul told him that Cody is a dead fish in the water and that there is nothing that he can do. Josh asked Paul and Matt to not let Cody get in his face, to which Paul said that Cody won’t because he’d get kicked off of the show.

10:40 AM BBT: Cody told Jason that he has to figure out what to do with Jessica. Jason said that Jessica would be fine and that she’s not going to be exiled.

10:45 AM BBT: Cody promised Jessica that he’ll make sure that all the heat is on him and that everyone knows he’s the only one who made the decision to go after Paul last week.

11:15 AM BBT: Jason told Cody that he can’t imagine production letting it be the Paul show the entire time. Cody asked why else was Paul brought back, adding that they’re going to make sure Paul is in the house and said that he can’t imagine production is happy with him. Jason told Cody that he’s going to tell people that he’s not going to vote to evict Cody. Cody said he doesn’t have to do that and said that he wouldn’t tell them anything.

11:20 AM BBT: Paul told Dominique and Mark that the target list after this week is Jessica, Jason, Ramses, and Josh, but said that he wants to keep Josh at the end of the list because he’s on board with them now and has been doing good.

11:35 AM BBT: Alex told Christmas and Kevin that Jason doesn’t realize that he’s making himself a target by associating himself with Cody and Jessica so much. Alex added that Jason is ruining their team by talking so much. Alex said that Jason is going to get one more warning since he’s her friend, but said after that she won’t be able to help him.

11:50 AM BBT: Jessica told Cody that if she wins veto two weeks from now, she would nominate Raven and Christmas, leaving Paul as the backdoor option if either nominee were to win veto.

11:55 AM BBT: Alex told Jason that he has to distance himself from Cody and Jessica or else she won’t be able to help him anymore because he has put himself on everyone’s radar. Alex explained that he needs to let Cody and Jessica go home, then they’ll target Josh and Ramses next. Jason told her that Cody and Jessica know they’re going home and he was just being nice. Alex told him that he needs to clarify that with Paul and Christmas.

12:10 PM BBT: Jessica told Cody that she was never jealous of Alex and that her frustration was because he was putting everything in jeopardy. Cody told her not to worry because Alex doesn’t hold a candle to her and that Alex just isn’t his type. Jessica told Cody that it’s annoying that their relationship is real while Matt and Raven are just faking it for the cameras, saying that the two don’t even kiss.

2:00 PM BBT: Mark told Paul that Elena told him that when she told Ramses to use the veto on Alex or Josh if he managed to win it, Ramses questioned if he really needed to do this. Paul said that he’s going to tell Ramses to throw it out loud if it looks like he’s winning so that everyone knows what their plan was.

2:10 PM BBT: Ramses told Christmas and Dominique that if he won the POV, they should be able to trust him not to use it, saying that he would probably take off either Alex or Josh. Ramses added that he gave his word and he’s not going to take himself off the block.

Kevin joined Ramses, telling him that the powers at be want to make sure he’s sticking to the plan. Ramses said yes, that he has no choice but to trust the house will keep their word. Ramses told Kevin that he’s not the kind of person who lies.

2:35 PM BBT: Christmas promised Alex that if worst came to worst and Ramses won the veto and went against the plan by taking himself off, that she wouldn’t vote Alex out. Alex said that she doesn’t think Ramses would take himself off because he knows that would be social suicide.

2:50 PM BBT: Paul asked Kevin if he talked to Ramses. Kevin said that Ramses isn’t going to go against the plan, adding that he doesn’t personally think that Ramses would have any chance to win to begin with. Ramses joined them in the HOH room, telling Paul to chill out and understand that he can trust Ramses. Ramses explained to Paul that he has to trust Paul’s group more than they have to  trust him considering it’s his game on the line.

3:05 PM BBT: Alex told Kevin that Christmas is trying to throw Jason under the bus and get him targeted next. Alex added that Christmas is bad news and the only one smart one in Paul’s group. Kevin told Alex that he would never vote to evict Jason. Alex told him that Ramses and Josh screwed their game, saying that those two are both dead to her now.

3:10 PM BBT: Ramses told Paul that if he’s putting this must trust in them, he thinks he deserves some trust back. Ramses said that if he somehow did win the veto, he would shake Paul’s hand and not use it on himself.

9:35 PM BBT: Paul won the POV

9:40 PM BBT: Paul told Alex that they can discuss later who he’s going to take down, but said that whoever is willing to make a speech to Cody on the live show is who he’ll give the veto to. Alex said that she didn’t want to make a speech.

9:45 PM BBT: Paul told Raven that Ramses is the biggest piece of shit ever for going against their plan and trying to win the veto. Paul said that he’s going to publicly humiliate Ramses and said he wants them all to scare him by saying that if he doesn’t win the upcoming HOH, he’s going home. Paul said that he’s going to leave Alex on the block since Jason would never vote to evict her. He said that he wants everyone in the house but Cody, Jessica, Ramses, and Jason to be in the room when he spoke with Josh and Alex about using the veto.

9:50 PM BBT: Ramses joined Paul, Mark, and Raven in the HOH room. Ramses said that he knows what just happened look super sketchy, but said that he wasn’t trying to win. Paul said that he told Ramses to just max out his time, but Ramses said that he didn’t want to do that, so instead just took all the delays in the competition that he could.

9:55 PM BBT: Christmas told Paul that if Ramses would have won, he would have used the veto on himself, then aligned with Cody, Jessica, and Jason. Paul said he knows, stating that he does trust Alex, Kevin, and Josh. Paul told Christmas that they need to win HOH again next week so that they can take Jessica, Ramses , or Jason out.

10:05 PM BBT: Paul told Mark that Alex is a team player, letting him cut her in line in the HOH competition and offering to be a pawn. Mark said that Jason isn’t going to be a big threat to them anymore once Cody is gone since he’ll finally just stick to Alex.

10:20 PM BBT: Paul told Alex that everyone pulled him aside and said that she’s a beast and that they want to start working with her, but said that his advice would be to distance herself from Jessica and Ramses, since they’re publicly enemy #2, after only Cody. Paul added that he needs to make it clear to Jason that he is now on people’s radars after spending time with Cody today.

Paul told Alex that people have started to make the point that if she was left on the block, that would secure Jason’s vote against Cody since he would never vote her out. Paul went on to say that he trusts her more than anyone in the house after she went to bat for him the way she did by going on the block. Alex told Paul that she trusts him and that because she doesn’t want to vote against Cody after Cody saved her, she’s willing to be left on the block.

10:30 PM BBT: Paul told Christmas, Alex, and Raven that they need to win HOH, then put up Jessica and Ramses outright. Paul also told the girls that him and Mark are going to spend the week intimidating Ramses after what he did at the veto competition.

10:50 PM BBT: Paul began talking to the camera. He said that Ramses, Jessica, and Jason are next on everyone’s hit list, which he said means he’ll hopefully evade being nominated for at least the first six weeks. He said that this week’s vote is going to be 10-1 to evict Cody.

11:50 PM BBT: Paul told Jessica that he made it clear what he needs to get done this week, explaining that he’s just dishing out what was dished his way. Paul told her that she’s in a tough spot not, but that things could change in her favor once Cody is gone. Jessica told Paul that he and Kevin were the only two people who asked her if she’s okay, then questioned how she is supposed to have a relationship with people who don’t care how she’s doing.  Jessica went on to say that she can handle the game aspect of the show, it’s the personal part that has hurt her. Paul told her that she just has to separate her emotions from game play.

Jessica told Paul that he has it easy since he has three weeks of safety and groupies who follow him around like he’s a God, adding that the odds are stacked in his favor. Paul said there is nothing easy about him being the only vet in the house, saying because of that, all the odds are actually stacked against him. Paul added that as soon as his three weeks of safety are up, people are going to start taking shots at him.

12:30 AM BBT: Christmas told Matt and Raven that she got the temptation this week. Christmas began to discuss who they can and couldn’t trust. Christmas told them that Jason feels an obligation to Cody since Cody didn’t nominate him, which is why Paul is wanting to keep Alex up, since Jason wouldn’t vote her out. Christmas asked Matt if he has any concerns, to which he said no, but that he obviously also misread Cody and Jessica.

1:00 AM BBT: Paul told Christmas, Matt, Elena, Mark, and Raven that Jessica told him that Ramses had approached her and Cody today and told them that he voted to keep Jillian and that he was going to try to win the veto and take himself off, which wouldn’t allow a replacement nominee to go up.

1:00 AM BBT: Kevin asked Alex if they’re going to put up Ramses and Josh too if they won HOH. Alex said yes, to which Kevin said that they’re not going to be winning the game if they get rid of their own numbers.  Kevin asked if they have to get Jason out too. Alex said that she’s trying to keep Jason safe, but said that Jason is the one who dug this grave. Alex told Kevin that if they keep their heads down, the two sides will wipe each other out, all the while the two of them just let each group think they’re in control. Alex said that if Jason doesn’t get on board, they aren’t going to be able to protect him and will have no choice but to start distancing themselves. Kevin asked where Dominique stood, to which Alex said that she is playing the best game in the house and hasn’t had to get her hands dirty.

1:40 AM BBT: Alex told Mark that Ramses was the other vote that flipped with Josh. Mark said that it wasn’t Ramses, that it was Jessica, Ramses, Alex, and Jason who voted for Jillian to stay.

1:45 AM BBT: Mark asked Ramses who he voted out on Thursday. Ramses said he voted to evict Christmas and that Christmas knows this. Ramses explained that he’s been trying to figure out who flipped this whole time since he’s been the one who has been getting blamed.
