Big Brother 18: Day 73 Recap

It’s nomination day in the Big Brother house, which means that there is plenty of potential for drama to go down today if Nicole turns on her own allies like was discussed last night. However, it’s also possible that a pawn is put up, which would keep the peace until at least after the veto competition tomorrow evening.

11:00 AM BBT: Michelle asked Natalie if it made her feel better that Nicole told James that he could be the ones to make her nominations. Natalie said that it did. Michelle told her that she proved to Nicole that it’s not scary putting up to big targets. Natalie told Michelle that Paul is buddy buddy with Corey and Nicole after talking so much crap about them. Michelle told her that Paul is playing Vanessa’s game by going into groups, getting information, then when someone else comes into power, he tells that person about it. Michelle asked Natalie why James dropped to Nicole in the HOH, questioning if James and Nicole have a final two. Natalie said that she didn’t know. Michelle told Natalie not to worry because she said that if the two of them end up on the block together, everyone is likely to vote to keep Natalie.

Natalie told Michelle that everyone has so much crap on Paul, so she said that they’re just going to have to use that to their advantage. Natalie added that if her or Michelle win the next HOH and Paul is still in the house, they’re going to call a house meeting to clear the air about everything that Paul has done to each of them. Natalie told Michelle to reiterate to Corey and Nicole that she didn’t get them out last week when she could of and said that she never wanted them out to begin with.

11:50 AM BBT: Nicole told Corey that she’s hoping the care package is something that makes it clear that she cannot put up Paul and Victor. Nicole told him that it makes her sad how happy Victor was to work with them. Corey agreed, saying that Victor was almost crying happy tears. Nicole told him that she can’t put Victor up, but said that she also made a deal with James, but then said that James has lied to them in the past and been sketchy about things such as this week’s vote. Nicole said that she is starting to trust Paul more than she trusts James. Nicole told Corey that Natalie, who is supposed to be an alliance with them, was also fighting to keep Victor in the house.

Corey told Nicole that if they come up with some elaborate plan to justify her nominations, it’ll just result in a huge fight, so Corey told her to just put two people up and be done with it. Nicole told Corey that it would be best for their game to put up Paul or Victor as a pawn, then threaten James or Natalie if they win veto that if they take down Michelle, one of them would go up and go home. Nicole added that she wants Paul to be cool with being a pawn, but said that if he isn’t, he can just take a shot at them once he stays.

12:40 PM BBT: Corey receives America’s final Care Package. Full results here.

12:50 PM BBT: James tells Michelle that they now know that America is on their side.

12:50 PM BBT: Corey told Nicole that he could bribe James into not being mad if she puts him up as a pawn. Nicole told him that she’s scared to choose sides because neither Paul nor Victor was given a care package by America, so she questions what they’re doing that is so wrong. Nicole questioned if it’s best for their game to put up one from each side, such as Michelle and Paul, with the intention of sending Michelle home. Corey told her that they just need to be upfront with James when it comes to Michelle needing to leave this week, saying that they won’t be able to work together if Michelle doesn’t go.

1:05 PM BBT: Michelle told Corey and Nicole that there isn’t any hard feelings because she put Corey up. Nicole told her that she doesn’t know what she wants to do. Corey said that they’re trying to figure out what America was trying to tell them by giving him the care package. Michelle said that America just didn’t want Paul or Victor to get it.

1:10 PM BBT: Corey and Nicole told Paul and Victor that they have their best interests in mind and do what the two of them to be in the house next week. Paul asked them to just say what they want. Nicole told him that they have the votes and she’d break the tie to get Michelle out if Paul was the pawn. Nicole explained that she really wants Michelle out and that her and Corey would both throw the veto to Victor. Corey told them that he’d bribe someone else into throwing the veto as well. Paul told them that he doesn’t want them throwing their game under the bus, so if they’re wanting to play along like they’re still mad at him, he’s fine with that. Nicole told Paul and Victor that her and Corey’s loyalty lies with the two of them.

Corey, Nicole, Paul, and Victor agreed that their new alliance name would be “The Final 4”. Paul told them that he’s going to win an Oscar for acting after he craps on her once she puts him up. Nicole told her that she’s fine with that since they’ll both be playing a part.

1:25 PM BBT: James told Michelle and Natalie that America is on their side because they want to see the underdogs win. Michelle told them that Paul is apparently working with Corey and Nicole now. James told her that Corey and Nicole aren’t stupid. James added that he doesn’t see how two of them could ever go up over the two giant targets that are Paul and Victor. Michelle asked who they’d vote out if Paul and Victor were nominated. James and Natalie both said Victor.

2:30 PM BBT: James told Corey and Nicole that he’s been a team player for them for a long time and they know that he’s never done them wrong. Corey and Nicole both agreed. Nicole told James that she’s planning on taking another swing at James, but insinuated that Michelle would be going up as a pawn. Nicole explained that Corey would bribe Victor into not taking Paul down if he were to win the veto.

2:55 PM BBT: James told Natalie that Nicole said she isn’t going to put the two of them up or backdoor them, but said that Michelle might be going up as the pawn. James adds that Corey will bribe Victor into not taking Paul down if he were to win the veto. Natalie told him that it’s going to suck if Paul or Victor doesn’t go. James told her that they will since the two of them control the votes.

3:05 PM BBT: Corey asked Nicole if she’s banking on Paul coming off the block. Nicole told him that she’s banking on Victor winning the veto and taking Paul off.

3:10 PM BBT: Nicole asked Paul how he honestly feels about going up. Paul told her that he trusts her and isn’t going to try to tell her not to. Nicole told him that he’s not going anywhere, but said that James, Michelle, and Natalie all will think that he’s her target.

3:15 PM BBT: James told Natalie that they’re good to go and the only way they’d be in trouble is if Victor won the veto and took Paul down. Natalie told him that Victor would take Corey’s bribe because Victor knows that he was evicted because of Paul.

4:00 PM BBT: Corey told Nicole that maybe America wants him to use the bribe against Paul and Victor to get the both of them nominated. Nicole told him that he’s thinking too much into it and said that she thinks he got it because he is liked and will be a one man team going into next week. Corey said that he could use the bribe to get Victor to drop, that way if James or Natalie won HOH, they’d go after Paul and Victor, then if Paul won HOH, he’d go after James and Natalie, leaving him and Nicole in the middle. Nicole told him that is a bad plan, that Victor is the last person she wants him to get to drop out. Nicole explained that drawing a line in the sand is sometimes better than getting caught in the middle like James and Natalie. Corey said that he’d use it to bribe James or Natalie to not use the veto on Michelle then. Nicole told him that he wouldn’t have to since he could just threaten to put whichever of them that didn’t win the veto up as the replacement nominee.

5:45 PM BBT: Nicole nominated Michelle and Paul. Full details here.

5:50 PM BBT: Corey told Victor that their plan has been successful so far, now they just have to get Victor the veto so that he can take Paul off.

5:55 PM BBT: James told Michelle that Paul is their target, so now they just have to make sure that he doesn’t win the veto. James added that even if Victor were to win the veto, Corey will bribe him $5000 not to use it. Michelle asked if he thinks that Paul is their target or is a pawn. James told her that Nicole made it very clear that Paul is their target. James told her that even if Paul were to pull himself down, Victor would be the one who goes up and goes home.

6:30 PM BBT: Nicole told Corey that Natalie didn’t say one word to her after nominations. Corey told Nicole that he’s tired of Natalie and would like to see her go home. Nicole told him that he’s playing off emotions when he says that. Corey said that he’s not because it would bring James back to being closer with them. Nicole told him that it’s an option, but said right now that she wants Michelle to go home.

6:40 PM BBT: Paul joined Corey and Nicole in the HOH room. Nicole told Paul that she already caught James and Michelle scheming, but said that it doesn’t matter since one of them will be going home no matter what. Paul asked if they wanted to pull him off the block if either of them won veto. Nicole said that they could and she’d put up Natalie since Nicole said that she’s not afraid of her. Paul told them that he can rattle Michelle before the veto to ensure that she doesn’t win it.

6:50 PM BBT: Corey told Nicole that it would be good for her to put James up as the replacement nominee, then she could break the tie to save James and send Michelle home, proving their loyalty to James. Nicole asked Corey that if he had to pick a side, which side would he choose. Corey told her James and Natalie 100%. Nicole told him that she’s talking about choosing a side this week. Corey told her that if they don’t go with Paul and Victor, they’re screwed. Corey told Nicole that he just really like Paul and Victor. Nicole agreed. Nicole told Corey that her instincts are telling her that she can trust Paul and Victor more, but said that she knows she’ll have a harder time with beating them in the final four. Nicole added that her head is telling her that they could beat James and Natalie, but said that she also has a feeling that it wouldn’t work out in their favor if they were to do that.

7:10 PM BBT: Michelle told Natalie that she might be the target. Natalie told her that she doesn’t think that’s the case, that Nicole knows she could beat the two of them while couldn’t beat the guys. Natalie added that by keeping Michelle in the game, Nicole’s odds of making it to the final two go up. Michelle told her that it might be a personal move.

7:35 PM BBT: James told Natalie that Nicole has been very cuddly with Victor, which James told her isn’t good for them since someone is going to have to go up if Paul comes down. Natalie told him that Paul told Victor in the kitchen that if he were to come down, Victor would replace him. Natalie told James that they need Michelle in the house since she can win mental competitions for them. James told her that if he wins another HOH, he’s going to have to put up the two guys left. Natalie told James that if she were to win the veto, she could just keep the nominations the same, which keeps any blood from getting on her hands and Michelle would be safe regardless.

9:00 PM BBT: Michelle told Natalie that she feels like she’s the target this week. Natalie told her that she isn’t and said that she’d tell Michelle if she was. Natalie added that even if Michelle were the target, her and James would vote to keep her. Michelle said that Nicole would be the tie breaker. Natalie told Michelle that Natalie voting her out of the house would be the dumbest move in Big Brother history. Michelle told Natalie that Paul is upstairs 24/7 and said that if she were Nicole, she might think that the two biggest targets would carry her along in the game too. Natalie told her that they need to get the big targets out of the house and can guarantee that Nicole is putting her personal feelings aside. Natalie told Michelle that she shouldn’t talk any crap this week and can’t blow up even on Paul. Natalie added that she should just have fun this week since she’s going to be safe.

9:55 PM BBT: Corey told Nicole, Paul, and Victor that he thinks it’s Michelle who gets the other James’ side of the house riled up and scheming. Victor told him that it’s Natalie, not Michelle.
