Big Brother 18: Day 71 Recap

We’re only one day away from the eviction, which means that we’ll see plenty of last minute campaigning, as well as some people having their fate confirmed to them by people who don’t want tomorrow eviction to be a blindside. There will be more speculation about a juror returning, but it will likely be met with more resistance from James who believes that there is no possible way that someone else could be returning from jury.

8:40 AM BBT: Paul headed into the lounge to talk to the viewers at home while everyone else is asleep. Paul said that he’s willing to bet anything that Victor will be evicted, stating that James and Natalie are both liars. Paul said that his plan going into next week is hopefully he’s given the care package so that he can take a shot at the showmances. He said that if Victor does go this week, he’ll be by himself because he said that he couldn’t fathom ever teaming up with Michelle. Paul went on to say that he’s onto people’s strategy, saying that James and Natalie claim to be different from other showmances when they’re actually just the same thing. Paul explained that James and Natalie say that they make their own decisions when in reality they’ve never made a decision that was different from each other. Paul said that he’ll turn on James and Natalie the second he gets the chance.

Paul said that he could see Michelle floating her way to the final three, but said that he hopes he’s there to so that he could make sure that he didn’t choose to take her to the final two. Paul said that if Victor does end up staying, the two of them will likely make final three, but said that if Victor doesn’t stay, he’s going to have to fight extra hard to make final three. Paul went on to say that he’s going to need to get rid of James and Corey if he wants anyone else to bring him to the final two if he made final three. Paul said that it just comes down to winning competitions at this point, which Paul says is likely why they’re going to take Paul out.

3:50 PM BBT: Corey told James that he doesn’t think there is going to be anyone returning from jury. James agreed, saying that it’s too late in the game with only four weeks left until the finale, stating that it would be unfair.

4:10 PM BBT: Victor asked Natalie about James’ vote. Natalie told him that it was James’ decision, not hers. Victor told her that she told him that she’d make sure James voted to keep him.

4:20 PM BBT: Natalie questioned James if he’d vote to keep Victor if that is what she wanted. Full recap can be found by clicking here.

5:05 PM BBT: James told Nicole that him and Natalie are getting a little nervous about Paul winning the HOH. Nicole told them that if Paul does win, it’s her and Corey who are going to be nominated, not the two of them. Natalie told Nicole about Victor telling her that she could make James vote to keep him, explaining to Nicole that she made it clear that James votes how he wants to. James tells Nicole that they wanted Paul out, but since he won the veto, Victor is collateral damage.

5:45 PM BBT: Victor tells Paul that he’s going to have a conversation with James later and say that if James wants him gone, he’d like to know about it so that it’s not a blindside. Victor said that he’d mention that he never did James wrong, so would hope that James wouldn’t do him wrong. Victor told Paul that he thinks James, Michelle, and Natalie all just have a bad taste in their mouth when it comes to Paul now.

6:35 PM BBT: Paul made his pitch to Corey and Nicole about them working together. Full recap can be found by clicking here.

6:45 PM BBT: James told Michelle and Natalie that it’s in Corey and Nicole’s best interest to take Paul out, telling them that Corey and Nicole need them three as much as they need Corey and Nicole.  James told them that they might just be thinking the worst while Paul would likely just put Corey and Nicole up. Natalie told Michelle that she should try to mend fences with Paul, but Michelle said it won’t matter if Paul is working with Corey and Nicole. James told Michelle that Corey and Nicole aren’t dumb, explaining that they’re going to entertain Paul because they don’t want to be put up either if Paul were to win HOH. James told them that if he wins, he’s going to put Nicole and Paul, with Corey as the backdoor option if Paul pulls himself down again. Michelle told them that she’s scared of Nicole slipping through the cracks.

Natalie told James and Michelle that if Corey and Nicole are getting too buddy buddy with Paul, they can just send Corey home next week. James agreed, saying that they have to strike first. Michelle told James that he has to win this next HOH.

7:30 PM BBT: James came downstairs to ask Corey and Nicole what Paul was talking to them about. Nicole told him that Paul is just not feeling well and said that he thinks Victor is likely going home.

7:30 PM BBT: Paul told Victor that whether he goes home or not this week, he’s trying to get it into Corey and Nicole’s head that he doesn’t trust James and Natalie. Victor told him that he’s going to have a very direct conversation with James later tonight.

7:55 PM BBT: Natalie told Victor that Paul is hurting his chances of staying by getting so close to Corey and Nicole. Victor told James, Michelle, and Natalie that if Corey and Nicole are working with Paul now, it means that if James doesn’t win HOH, two of them are going up. Victor asked why they couldn’t of just stuck with the plan. Natalie told him that she just wanted Paul out. Natalie told him that when she would talk to Corey and Nicole, Paul would eavesdrop on her conversations. Victor told them that if he’s not in the house, it’ll switch from three playing against Nicole to three playing against James.

8:20 PM BBT: Victor executes the plan that him and Paul came up with. Afterwards, Natalie said that she’s going to do everything she can to make sure that Victor stays. Full breakdown and recap can be found by clicking here.

10:05 PM BBT: Victor told Michelle that James is on the fence and doesn’t where a situation where Paul runs him and the two of them attack him. Michelle told him that they ran through the scenarios and it’s best for their game for Victor to stay. Michelle explained that Corey and Nicole would be stupid to not work with Paul.

10:10 PM BBT: Michelle and Natalie began their campaign to try to get James on board with getting Corey out. Michelle explained to James that they have more options to stay safe if Victor stays. James questions what would happen if Paul were to rope Victor back in. Michelle told him that they’d have to get Nicole, which would make it a four vs two. Michelle added that they could never know for sure if Paul couldn’t rope Victor back in. James told her that is the problem because they’re down to six, which makes it easy for Victor to just go rogue after they save him. James told them that they have a better chance at beating Corey and Nicole. Michelle and Natalie agreed.

10:25 PM BBT: James told Corey and Nicole that Victor pitched to them that Paul abandoned ship because he knows Victor is going home. James added that Victor said if he were to stay, he’d target Paul too. Nicole told him that her and Corey were just talking about this, that Paul and Victor are going to get Paul to act sad and make it seem like Paul is working with them. James told Corey and Nicole that he trusts them. Michelle asked Corey and Nicole if Paul was trying to align with them. Both Corey and Nicole denied that he was. Natalie told them that Victor was saying that if he leaves, them two and Paul would team up to take her, James, and Michelle out. Nicole told her that it’s a good strategy to try to stay, but said that it isn’t true. Michelle asked if they’d put up Paul. Nicole said that she would and is willing to say it to Paul’s face.

10:50 PM BBT: Nicole told Corey that what just went down upstairs wasn’t a good game move on James, Michelle, and Natalie’s part. Nicole added that she’s going to be gunning after them hard now. Nicole said that she doesn’t like when people threaten’s Corey’s game and said that she was going to put Paul up before, but not anymore. Nicole told Corey that he has to deny that Paul ever talked any game to him.

10:55 PM BBT: James came to apologize to Corey and Nicole. Nicole told him that she’s just frustrated that they’d think she wouldn’t go after Paul, which Nicole said told her that they don’t trust her. James told her that it was Michelle who brought up the scenarios that brought Nicole’s target into question.  James added that he didn’t want to do that, but Michelle was so paranoid. James went on to tell Nicole that it was Michelle who bought Victor’s pitch and said that Michelle is the one who wants Nicole out. Nicole told James that what she took away from that upstairs meeting is that Michelle was giving her an ultimatum.

11:15 PM BBT: Michelle told Victor that she wishes there was a way to show James that he 100% wouldn’t go back to Paul. Victor told her that there is nothing he can say at this point, it’s only way Michelle and Natalie can say to James.

12:15 AM BBT: James told Michelle and Natalie that Corey and Nicole owe them a week of safety next week. James added that he’ll tell Victor that he’s going home tomorrow.
