It’s been another hectic week in the Big Brother house, and things are only going to increase as the veto meeting is today, which will lock in who will be nominated come eviction night, sealing the fate for one of the two nominated.
With Austin winning HOH and Vanessa winning veto, their alliance had the ultimate decision on who they’d send out this week, as well as who they’d pick to work with. Vanessa let it be known to everyone that despite her winning the veto, it was actually Austin’s choice as to what they’re going to do because he’s the Head of Household, and the more private reason she told people she trusts like Steve is that she wouldn’t have the votes if she did what she wanted with the veto. Despite all that, Vanessa didn’t seem pleased about what he wanted her to do with the veto.
Flashback to 1:40 am earlier this morning for Austin making his final decision after they’ve been discussing it all day. Austin told Vanessa that he wanted her to keep the nominations the same so that they could choose between John and Steve. Austin went on to tell her that he doesn’t want to get out James or Meg because he trusts the two of them, unlike Steve and John who only dug themselves a deeper hole this week. While Austin and Liz were set on getting John out, Vanessa and Julia agreed that they should use this opportunity to get big targets like James out, though Austin was adamant and Vanessa ultimately agreed not to use the veto.

Vanessa discussed her disdain for the plan to keep the nominations the same with Steve at 11:27 pm yesterday night. Vanessa told Steve that she wished he was able to convince Austin that it was better for his game for her to use the veto and him backdoor James because her and Steve specifically are going to be targeting by Meg and James, which is purposely how Austwins set this up. Vanessa went on to say that it wasn’t a smart move for the two of them to create an alliance with a showmance and sisters because of situations like these. Vanessa added that Austin is going to want her to keep the nominations the same, though that obviously isn’t better for her game.
Vanessa continued her discussions about an alternate plan at 12:15 am earlier this morning with Julia. Juila and Vanessa both questioned why they’re not getting James out this week when they’re given the opportunity. Vanessa told her that she’s just surprised that Austin isn’t willing to gun for James when it’s better for all of their games. Julia went on to say that they’re at the point in the game where they need to go after big targets, no floaters who haven’t won any HOHs like John. Vanessa told Julia that the two of them are of the same mind in regards to using the veto this week to get out James instead, though they lacked the votes.

So as it stands right now, Vanessa doesn’t plan on using the veto. There will be a few hours for the houseguests to make final plans before veto, and it’s likely that Vanessa will make one last push to get James out, which could possibly work because we saw with this week’s nominations how persuasive Vanessa can be as at the last minute.
We’ll keep you updated if there are any changes to the plan before tomorrow’s veto meeting. Make sure to check back around 3 PM PST to find out what Vanessa decided to do with her Power of Veto!
