Steve has had a clear allegiance to two players so far, Vanessa and John, but now they’re both enemies of one another, so Steve is stuck in the middle having to choose which he’ll work with. After hours of different discussions, Steve made his decision.
Vanessa has been against John ever since the fight Thursday between her, John, and Clay. She didn’t like how John told people that he was her target, along with how she defended Clay when she was going after him. John has also made it clear that ever since that fight, he’s ready for Vanessa to be sent home, and he wants to be the one ultimately seals her fate. With Steve working with the both of him, he had to come to a decision as to who he’d work with and who he spills all the information he has to.
Flashback to 1:10 AM earlier this morning for the key conversation between John and Steve. John began telling Steve that everyone wants Vanessa out this week, including him, because of everything she’s done. John explained that not only is Vanessa good with everyone, but if you think about everyone’s that’s been evicted, nearly all of them have been in fights with Vanessa which directly resulted in them being sent home. John told Steve that Vanessa promised him that she’d use the veto on him if he picked her for houseguest choice, but he just overheard Vanessa promising the same thing to Shelli.
The turning point for Steve was when John told him about the 8 person deal between Vanessa, Austin, Liz, Julia, James, Jackie, Meg, and Becky that was made where they all agreed they’d come after Clay, Shelli, and the two of them. John explained that in order to send Vanessa home, the veto would need to be used on Shelli because Vanessa would be able to talk her way out of being sent home if she was left up with Shelli, but not if she was up with Steve. John told Steve that Becky, James, Jackie, and Meg all want this done, which means that they’ll have the votes to keep him, so he doesn’t have to worry. John told Steve that this will work still if he (Steve) wins veto, just as long as Vanessa, Austin, Liz, or Julia wins it. John told Steve that all they need to do this week is pretend like they don’t know what’s going to happen, because if Vanessa’ catches wind of it, John will be the one sent home because Becky would have to cover her tracks.

After Steve’s talk with John, he was left alone to ponder his thoughts and have his nightly talk with the feedsters as to where his head is at. Flashback to 2:35 AM for when Steve begins talking to everyone at home watching. Steve told us that he doesn’t know what to do because his two closest allies are enemies. Steve explains that if he does choose to be on John’s side, he’s going to have to be on the block with Vanessa on eviction night. Steve begins questioning if he should tell John about the Freaks & Geeks alliance and his final 2 deal that he made with Vanessa. After a few minutes of thought, Steve tells us that he’s made his decision and that he’s going to throw the POV, work with John, and be on the block with Vanessa on eviction night to insure that she goes home.

With Steve making his decision to work with John, it confirms that if Vanessa goes up on the block, there is no way she stays because Becky’s alliance will have more than enough votes to evict her. The veto competition is tomorrow, which will completely determine the outcome of this week. It’s possible that we send some confrontations tomorrow after the veto competition if Steve tells John about the alliances he was in with Vanessa, Austin, and the twins.
