It’s been a hectic day in the Big Brother house, as they’re now down to final five and the move that has to be made this week is an important one, as it has the chance to ultimately decides someone’s future fate, as well as secure possible safety, depending on which deals are made. There has already been plenty of game talk today, so let’s just get to the recap!
6:25 PM BBT: Julia is evicted
7:35 PM BBT: Vanessa is the new HOH
7:50 PM BBT: Vanessa tells Austin that she just doesn’t know how to throw things and had to win it. Austin tells her that it’s fine because he has her back like he always has. Vanessa asks Austin what Steve thought he’d do if he (Austin) won HOH. Austin tells him that he told Steve that he’d keep him safe, but he was just telling Steve whatever he wanted to hear. Vanessa asks Austin if he’ll do whatever she wants this week. Austin confirms that he will.
7:55 PM BBT: Vanessa asks Liz what Steve thought she was going to do if she won HOH. Liz tells her that she told Steve that she’d keep him with the tie-breaker if she were to nominate him.
8:00 PM BBT: Vanessa asks Steve what he thought Austin was going to do if he won HOH. Steve tells her that he figured Austin would put up a combination of him, her, and John. Vanessa asks Steve if Austin said he’d keep him safe. Steve says yes, that Austin told him that he wasn’t going to be his target. Steve tells Vanessa about the deal he did make with Liz that she’d tie-break the vote in his favor if he was the one who went up if she won HOH. Vanessa tells Steve that Austin has either lied about something or he’s playing the entire house, so Austin is going to be her target.
8:05 PM BBT: Vanessa tells Austin that she has a put a lot of faith in people and conflicting things are starting to come out that don’t sit right with her. Vanessa asks Austin who he though John would put up. Austin tells her that he only told John that they’d take each other to final four, never discussed nominations because Austin says he planned to put up John with Steve anyway. Vanessa tells Austin that he told Steve he was going to keep him safe, so Vanessa asks how that would work if he’d putting Steve on the block. Austin tells her that he was just saying what he needed to say to ensure that Liz stayed and Steve didn’t tell her and John to vote out Liz. Vanessa tells Austin that she isn’t upset with him she’s upset with Liz because Liz gave her word to her that she wouldn’t vote against her, but then told Steve the same thing. Austin tells her that Liz and him were just saying what they needed to say to get them to the final four.
Austin tells Vanessa that he would never go against her because he needs her in the game. Austin adds that hopefully she’ll still ride with him to the end. Vanessa tells him that not everyone can be safe with everyone. Vanessa adds that her instincts are good and that it feels like something shady is going on because if he was so concerned about Steve winning final four HOH to the point of making a deal with him, why wasn’t he concerned about her winning it. Austin tells her that it’s because he knows she’ll take him. Austin adds that he wouldn’t go against her if he won the final four veto. Vanessa tells Austin that she’s not stupid and knows that the incentives are for the opposite of that.
8:15 PM BBT: Vanessa asks John what he thought Austin was going to do if he had won HOH. John tells her that Austin said he wasn’t going to put him up, then after she told him to make a deal with Austin, he made a fake deal that he’d put her and Steve up. Vanessa tells John that it’s funny because Austin has made conflicting deals with everyone, then dropped a lot of eggs during the competition like you might do if you were throwing it. Vanessa asks John who Steve thought he was going to put up. John tells Vanessa that him and Steve never talked about nominations because the two of them knew that Austin and Liz had to go up. Vanessa asks John why he’s willing to go against Steve after all they’ve been through and worked together. John explains that Steve would win, while the people in just hate her.
8:25 PM BBT: Liz tells Vanessa that the deal she made with Steve was just phony and never had any plans to honor it, that it was just made to ensure that Steve didn’t get them to vote her out. Vanessa tells Liz that she knows she would have been her replacement nominee, then she agreed to be the tie-breaker in Steve’s favor, meaning she’d of been the one going home had Liz won HOH. Liz tells her that she would have never of done any of that. Liz tells Vanessa that she has never given her a reason to doubt her, that she even took out James for Vanessa. Austin joins the conversation and Vanessa tells them that they’ve made conflicting deals with people. Liz tells her that they weren’t conflicting. Austin tells her that there wasn’t any deals at all. Vanessa asks if her name ever came out of John’s mouth. Austin says it hasn’t, nor has it come out of his mouth. Vanessa tells Austin and Liz that she loves them, but she’s going to go with her gut.
8:30 PM BBT: Vanessa tells Austin that he told her, John, and Steve three different things last week, but she knows that his real incentives would be to put her up with Steve so that he has a better shot at winning the final four veto. Austin tells Vanessa that he doesn’t have any problems with breaking deals with John and Steve because they never committed to anything. Vanessa tells Austin and Liz that she’s going to do what she needs to do. Liz tells her to go with her gut, but to remember that they’ve been there for her since the start of the game.
Vanessa tells Austin that she’s going to have to go off of incentives to make this decision, not off what people tell her because they’ll just say anything. Austin tells her that she doesn’t have to go off of incentives with him because they’ve already gone over this. Vanessa asks Austin if he has any other final two deals. Austin says that he doesn’t, then backtracks saying that him and John don’t have a final two deal, they only have an understanding. Austin adds that him and Liz don’t even have an offical final two deal, while him and her both do. Vanessa tells Austin that maybe her best move is to just put up one person from each pair because that way she’d be going to final four with only one pair. Austin tells her to go with the pair that has been working with her. Vanessa tells him that they started working together before his showmance, then the showmance made things less ideal. Vanessa asks Austin if he’d throw the veto, regardless of who’s on the block. Austin tells her that if that’s what she wants him to do, that’s what he’ll do.
9:15 PM BBT: Vanessa tells Austin that what is currently working in their favor is that she likes him and Liz more than she likes John and Steve, and the fact that she’s been working with them and they know she’ll take them to the end because it’s in her incentive. Vanessa tells Austin that it would be best for him to throw final three HOH if it’s them two and Liz, because it would give Liz a 50% chance to win. Austin tells Vanessa that him and Liz could agree to throw the first part of the three part HOH, then him and Liz battle it out for the second part to determine which would go to final two. Vanessa tells him that she’s going to have to do the math, but right now it’s looking good for them.
Vanessa tells Austin that if she keeps him off the block, she’s going to need him to vote how she wants. Austin agrees, saying that if she wants John out because of the risk he poses in the final four or final three, he’ll vote him out. Vanessa agreed, saying that John is likely the only one that could beat her in the first part of the final three HOHs. Vanessa tells Austin that if she wanted to be smart, she’d break up the couple because she doesn’t even know if she could win with a couple in the game. Austin tells Vanessa that Steve and John are just as much of a couple as him and Liz are, the big difference being is that him and Liz have worked with her all game, unlike John and Steve. Vanessa tells Austin that people would think that she’s dumb for believing the deal Austin proposed. Austin tells her that they won’t win the two of them are in final two.
Vanessa tells Austin that what she might have to do is put someone up, then have him throw the veto as a test of his loyalty. Austin tells her that if that’s what she needs him to do, he’ll do it. Vanessa beings talking about nominating John and Liz, the main target being John, but if Steve were to win veto and use it on John, he still wouldn’t be the one to go home. Vanessa asks Austin if Liz will be okay with going up if she knows that she isn’t the target. Austin tells her that he’ll make her be okay with it. Austin adds that he could win the veto in that scnerio and not use it because Liz would understand. Vanessa tells Austin that she just doesn’t want John in final three because it would be the worst with him there because everyone would want to take him to final two. Vanessa tells Austin that if she goes through with this plan, him and Liz would be the biggest scum bags ever to not honor their part of the deal.
10:00 PM BBT: Vanessa tells Liz that she’s trying hard to make this work because she doesn’t want to have to put them up again. Vanessa adds that she’s thinking about staying true to Scamper Squad, the one thing that Steve should have done last week. Austin brings up the throwing of the first part of the final three HOH, to which Liz agreed to. Vanessa tells Liz that she wants John out because everyone would be stupid to take them over John to final two. Vanessa tells Austin and Liz that if she makes this move, she’d have to put John and Steve on the block together. Vanessa asks them to keep their mouths shut about this because that is currently what she’s thinking about doing.
10:45 PM BBT: Vanessa tells Austin that John and Steve are feeling safe because they figured that everyone would be going after the couple. Vanessa asks Austin if he offered Steve the same deal about throwing the first part of the final three HOH. Austin says no, that he only offered to be a vote for Steve. Vanessa tells Austin that her integrity is important to her and she’s had their backs this far and she knows that they’ve had hers, so she doesn’t want to turn on that. Vanessa adds that her asking him and Liz to throw the first part of the final three HOH is fair. Austin agrees, saying that it’s not only in his best interest, but it’s fair too.
12:50 AM BBT: Vanessa tells Austin that that she’d love to be in the final four, final three, and final two with him. Vanessa tells him that Liz brought up good points when she said she took out Becky and James when both of those people would be coming after her (Vanessa). Vanessa tells Austin that the first part of their deal is that if John is on the block, he’s the one that him and Liz have to vote out. Vanessa tells Austin that it’s also not good for his game to win final four veto because a final three with Liz is not good for his game. Austin asks if she’s saying he should basically bow out at final four. Vanessa says yes, that it’s the smartest play. Vanessa tells Austin that if Steve is there with them in final three, it is best for her to beat Steve in round one because he then couldn’t beat you in round two. Vanessa asks Austin if he’s willing to give his word if she does that they’ll take each other to the final two over Steve. Austin says that he will. Vanessa adds that she would trust him and Liz to throw the first part of the final three HOH competitions, but he wouldn’t trust John or Steve to.
Vanessa tells Austin that she’ll let Steve know that Austin’s ideal final three includes them three, then Austin will need to confirm that with Steve. Vanessa adds that she’ll tell Steve that no matter what, she isn’t going to let him go home this week. Vanessa tells Austin that she can’t risk going into the final four with Steve and someone who has won zero HOHs like John. Vanessa begins explaining to Austin that it’s better for his game to take her to the final two over Liz because she has a better shot at winning against her rather than Liz and that he’ll get the win because everyone hates her. Austin says he swears on his love for Liz, his family name, and everything he holds dear that he’ll honor this deal.
1:25 AM BBT: Vanessa tells Liz that she better be in good shape to win the veto tomorrow because she needs the noms to stay the same. Vanessa adds that she realized last night that she needs to look at John and Steve as a couple as well. Liz tells Vanessa that keeping Steve is smart because she wants to be the one to send him home. Vanessa tells Liz that she needs her to vote the way she (Vanessa) wants because keeping Steve until next week is going to be best for Liz’s game as well. Liz tells Vanessa that if John or Steve come down, she’ll be the pawn to send whoever remains on the block home. Vanessa tells Liz that if Liz wins final four veto and she gets to pick who comes to final three, she should take her. Vanessa begins telling Liz about how John’s family air guitar gave away the Rockstars alliance and she feels as though it was a message to stick with Steve. Liz tells Vanessa that she gives her word that she’ll honor the deals because Liz says that they’re not too much to ask for.
1:40 AM BBT: Vanessa tells Steve that she knows that the obvious play would be to go after Austin and Liz because they’re a couple, but she’d be foolish to think that he’d ever take her to the finals over John. Vanessa tells Steve that there is always going to be a risk of going to final three with him and John because they’ll always take each other out of loyalty. Vanessa tells Steve that leaving John in the game hurts her’s because everyone will want to take the easy win to the end. Vanessa adds that she believes that her smartest play is to go after John. Vanessa tells Steve that he doesn’t have to worry though because he’ll never be her target. Steve asks if it’s him and John on the block on Thursday, what would happen. Vanessa tells her that she already got Liztin’s word that they’ll vote out John because Austin now understands that his best final three is her and Steve. Vanessa tells Steve about Austin giving his word to throw the final four veto because he knows that it’s best for his game for Liz to go.
Steve asks Vanessa if she’s basically afraid of John being the next Victoria. Vanessa says that he basically is Victoria while all the other strong players are left. Vanessa tells Steve that when she first won, she thought she was going to put up Austin and Liz. Steve tells her that those two played her well it seems. Vanessa tells him that she came to this decision on her own and was only feeling Austin and Liz out to see if they’d be good for their word. Steve asks if she’d afraid he’d take John to the end over her. Vanessa tells Steve that he’s incentivized to do just that. Vanessa tells him that Austin and Liz don’t realize how much she believes that they need to be broken up. Steve tells Vanessa that she’s trying to say that the incentives for him would be to take John, which doesn’t make sense because the jury loves him and hates her. Steve asks if he’s going up with John tomorrow. Vanessa tells him that is what’s in her head right now. Vanessa tells Steve that John is her biggest competitor going into the three part HOH, which is why she wants him out. Steve tells her that he’s nervous about relying on votes from people he nominated. Vanessa tells Steve that she’s going to win final four veto, so she’ll take out those who didn’t keep her word.
Vanessa asks Steve if he’d be willing to throw the veto if she kept him off the block because that would be the only way she’d be able to keep him off the block. Vanessa tells Steve that she just needs to nominate him with John because John’s odds of winning veto go up if Steve throws the competition. Vanessa tells Steve that he’s the only one that she has a final two deal with and she plans to honor that. Steve tells Vanessa that Austin is going to fight for the veto next week if Liz is on the block, regardless of what he’s swore to that he wouldn’t. Steve tells Vanessa that she’s putting them in the position next week where they have to win and if Liz were to win HOH, they’re both going to be screwed. Vanessa tells Steve that she can get Liz to throw the final veto if she were to win HOH because it’s better for Liz to have Austin in jury. Steve tells Vanessa that Liz wants to sit at the end with Austin and she knows that as well as he does because those two are already talking about getting married. Steve adds that Liz is incentivized win the final four veto to ensure that it’s her and Austin at the end, since it’s both of them that’ll be winning all the money. Vanessa tells Steve that they’re winning next week’s veto, end of story, and he needs to stop with the doubt. Vanessa tells him that she’s going to think this through and he might change her mind. Steve tells Vanessa that her model of both being couples is wrong because he’s not with John as much as he is with her because he knows he can’t beat John. Vanessa tells Steve that she doesn’t believe she has an alliance with John. Steve tells her that John wants a final three with them two.
2:50 AM BBT: Vanessa tells John that he’s always be in an alliance with Steve and neither of the two have them have screwed each other over. Vanessa tells him that she knows that Steve is always going to take him to the finals over her. John tells Vanessa that he would take her to the final two over Steve because Steve is friends with everyone in jury. John tells Vanessa that it seems like her biggest concern is winning the final four veto, which both Austin and Steve are better at that competition than he is. Vanessa asks John what he’d do if Austin won HOH and he (John) were to win veto. John tells her that Steve would have to go. Vanessa tells John that if he were to win the veto and Steve goes, would he hold it against her. John says no because he’d be alright with it. Vanessa tells John that she might just put up one from each pair.
John tells Vanessa that he’s not dumb and he knows about their five person alliance. Vanessa tells him that she’s at the point where she is about to have them play rock, paper, scissors to determine who goes up. John tells Vanessa that he doesn’t care if Steve goes up, he just rather not. Vanessa asks if noms were to stay the same and he was off the block, would he vote the way she wanted. John confirmed.
3:25 AM BBT: Vanessa tells Steve that John doesn’t know that he’d be the target. Vanessa tells Steve that John is either being insanely brilliant or he’s insanely stupid saying his word is not good. Vanessa tells Steve that John also convinced her that she has no shot at winning the game. Steve asks Vanessa if she actually believes Austin would want to go to the final three against Liz. Vanessa says yes because he couldn’t win against her.
3:40 AM BBT: Vanessa tells Austin that Steve brought up the fact that Austin can’t throw the veto if Liz is HOH. Austin tells her that she’d take her to the end over Steve if Liz were to win HOH. Vanessa tells Austin that Steve is fighting for John like he (Austin) fights for Liz. Vanessa tells Austin that if Steve throws someone under the bus to him, that means he’s working with whoever that is. Vanessa tells Austin that her she’s open minded, but her first instinct would be to get out John. Austin tells her that Steve has a much better chance at winning a before and after HOH, which is something that is coming up.
